Cool photo. I'm surrounded by baby birds this year. It is good to know they will like the loquat tree I planted. ( at least they will a few years from now when it grows up )

Same here. I'm getting a few peppers here and there. Even without any fruit, I love the glossy leaves of the pepper plant. But I'm not sure growing hot peppers is cost effective. They're so cheap to buy. Now sweet peppers are another story...but I haven't had any luck getting a crop from them. Maybe in the fall.

<em>Weird--I have sweet peppers, too, but like you, no crop yet. I haven't even seen any flowers on the plants. They look otherwise healthy, though.

This is a brutal summer for veggie gardeners here in Austin.

I have a Passion Flower in my yard that is growing on the fence and it is 12 ft long 4 ft high with hundreds of blooms on it.
I am wondering where the seeds are in the blooms so that I can start more plants. If you know please email me at katndan4e1@verizon.net. thank you so much

I have been getting tons of blooms, but as of yet, no squash. The plants are beautiful and healthy and get plenty of water. should i be worried? I haven't seen any evidence of bugs or disease either. The blooms, bloom, and then fall off.

<em>Maybe you've only seen male blooms so far? Or maybe you haven't had any pollinators visiting your plants? I'm really no expert on squash--this summer's veggie garden is my first real attempt since childhood. Hope you see some squash soon.

I see a bee flying towards the beautiful flower. A cheerful shot.

Your plants look amazingly healthy. Please share your fertilizer tips.
Jenny

<em>I'm just using the compost that we make from leaf waste and kitchen scraps to enrich the soil. Haven't used any other fertilizer so far.
